Pet Euthanasia
Middlesbrough

Euthanasia for pets

Euthanasia, is something we all wish we didn't have to consider and it's an incredibly difficult decision to make. As pet owners ourselves, we know how hard it can be to say goodbye to your best friend. But, sometimes euthanasia, or being put to sleep, is one of the only things we can do as pet owners to ease our pets pain and to ensure they are no longer suffering. One of the biggest acts of compassion any pet owner can give their pets, is letting them fall to sleep in a peaceful and pain-free way. If you think you need to discuss with you vet about letting go of your best friend, then please contact us. One of our team will be with you every step of the way.

When It's time to say goodbye

When the time comes, one of our vet team will discuss with you the procedure and what to expect. Don't be afraid to ask questions, we offer a non-judgemental service and our main priority is to ensure you understand what will happen next and how you can support your pet. You will be asked to sign a consent form, which gives the vet permission to proceed, you can take as much time as you need to complete this. Both you and your pet will be treat with compassion and dignity throughout. Once the procedure begins your pet may be given a light sedative, before a large overdose of anaesthetic is provided and then they'll slowly drift away. If you have a small pet then they might be provided with a gas anaesthetic instead. It's entirely your choice if you choose to stay with them throughout the procedure and if you feel you aren't strong enough to do so, then one of our team will stay with your pet until they have passed. Once the procedure have been completed, you will be given as much time as you need with your pet. Prior to the procedure being carried out, further arrangements will of already been discussed and arranged such as burial or cremation services and whether you are using ourselves or a private company. We will respect these wishes and ensure they are completed in respect of these. Our one aim is to ensure your beloved pet passes with love and dignity.
